Warranty and Commissioning

Electrolux goods are guaranteed in respect of faulty materials and workmanship for a period of twenty four months from date of installation or delivery.

Electrolux goods are guaranteed against labour charges for the first twelve months, effective Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm. Outside of the UK, Electrolux do not offer any labour warranty.

This guarantee is issued subject to the appliance being installed, commissioned (if necessary) and operated to the manufacturers installation and operating instructions issued with each machine. Consumable parts are excluded.

Standard Warranty exclusions
1. All external associated electrical equipment, such as power supply points, fuses, breakers etc
2. All external gas, plumbing and flexible hose equipment not supplied with the product.
3. All external liquid soap equipment.
4. Parts made wholly or partly of glass or plastic rubberised materials.
5. Consumable items and circumstances as follows:
-Dishwashers-chemical pump tubing, water quality related issues, bulbs, curtains and adjustments to rinse and detergent levels after commissioning, door and hood seals.v -Dynamic preparation-blades, grinding wheels, perspex guards, peeling chambers, door gaskets, plates and knife blocks.
-Ovens-door seals, door glass, glass shelves, water quality related issues, bulbs, fuses, food probes damaged by misuse.
-Fridge/Freezers-door seals, door glass, glass shelves, bulbs, adjustment to temperatures after commissioning.
-Coldrooms-Defects between units and remote compressors.
-All products-blockages internal or external.
6. Faults arising from the incorrect installation of an appliance, including inappropriate gas, electricity and water supplies.
7. Rectification of faults caused by fire, water, frost, variation of the electrical supply or gas pressure.
8. Damage caused by malicious or wilful action, negligence, misuse or non-genuine accessories or replacement parts. This included attempted rectification of faults by an unauthorised person.
9. Cleaning or de scaling of equipment.
10. All waiting time will be chargeable.
11. A parking or toll fess incurred during a service or breakdown visit will be charged to the customer as indicated on the engineer's job sheet.
12. Failure to fit or maintain water treatment systems.

Commissioning
Certain products must be commissioned prior to use in order to validate any warranty. This is a free service on the UK mainland.

This includes:
-Glasswashers
-Dishwashers
-Rack and flight type dishwashers
-Combination and convection ovens, which must have suitable water treatment devices.
-Boiling pans (distilled water is required for these).

If an engineer has not installed the item correctly, the commissioning will point this out. The customer must correct any installation and/or commissioning issues in order to validate the Electrolux warranty.

Again, we recommend only using approved installers, who will have the correct equipment and certification to install your appliance and issue a warranty. Failure to install to local authority, national and Electrolux standards will mean warranty calls will be chargeable to the customer.

Extended Warranty
We offer an extended warranty to cover parts and labout for 3 or 5 years after the standard warranty. We also offer out of hours warranty cover. Please ask for details and current pricing.
Non Warranty Items and Charges
Any warranty call out is chargeable to the customer if either of these two circumstances apply:

1. Any of Standard Warranty exclusions 1-12 (above) are met
2. Installation and/or commissioning work is not approved by Electrolux

247Foodservice do not offer or accept any liability for charges incurred where an item of equipment qualifies as non-warranty, and as such 247Foodservice does not offer any warranty.

The customer is responsible for ensuring any call out and labour charges will be accepted under the terms of the Electrolux warranty, before any work is carried out.

The customer will be liable for the charges for immediate payment. The diagnosis and final conclusion of the warranty supplier stands, and 7dayChef will not represent either the customer or the warranty supplier to act in negotiation or arbitration. Settlement is required immediately if charges arise, without credit terms.

All other brand warranties
We offer 12 months parts only warranty on all other brands. We do not offer labour warranties on any US brand unless specified.
